VARIETY is reporting that the upcoming police thriller, Triple Nine will debut in theaters September 11, 2015.
In Triple Nine, a group of corrupt police officers are blackmailed into pulling off a seemingly impossible heist. They plot the murder of a rookie police officer in order to orchestrate a “999”, code for ‘officer down’, to pull off the heist across town.
The film stars Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Aaron Paul, Kate Winslet, Gal Gadot, Norman Reedus, Teresa Palmer, Clifton Collins, Jr. and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who will play the mastermind behind the robbery.
The film will be directed by John Hillcoat and is written by Matt Cook.
