BlackFilm.com is reporting that 106 & Park  host and the artist formerly known as Bow Wow, Shad Moss is joining the cast of the CBS’s CSI: Cyber.  The new spinoff is  inspired by real-life cyber psychologist Mary Aiken and is the fourth one in the franchise.

“Bow Wow is a gifted young actor who will have the responsibility, through his character, to set an example for young people who watch the show to ‘do what’s right’ even when you know ‘nothing but wrong,’” said Anthony E. Zuiker, creator of the “CSI” franchise. “It will be a redemption story and a cautionary tale all wrapped into one. The role of Nelson required someone with deep acting chops and off-the-charts smarts. Shad Moss is a unique talent that possesses both.”

Moss will play Brody “Baby Face” Nelson, one of the world’s most well-known and prolific hackers, who has been ordered by a judge to work with the show’s central character, Special Agent Avery Ryan (played by Patricia Arquette). Nelson is a twenty-something-year-old that grew up without parents and joined a family of hacktivist.

CSI: Cyber  also stars James Van Der BeekPeter MacNicol and Charley Koontz.

Congrats Shad!
