TV One’s award-winning docu-series UNSUNG is back for another season down memory lane.
The one-hour program, which uncovers the stories behind once well-known R&B and soul music artists, bands or groups, returns with 10-new episodes on Wednesday, July 30 at 8 p.m. This season’s highlights includes profiles on such musical greats as Rick James, Wilson Pickett, Peaches & Herb, The Chi-Lites, The Emotions and power-house vocalist, Martha Wash. It will also spotlight a few 90’s artist such as Hi-Five, Montell Jordan, Troop and Bone Thugs in Harmony.
According to the UNSUNG’s Wikipedia page, “the NAACP Image Award winner for “Outstanding Information Series or Special” has tailored a unique formula that portrays musical artists whose “turning point” occurred for more business or personal reasons, and who may have recovered from it to continue a far less famous, but rewarding, career.”
