The picturesque island of Martha’s Vineyard will be the epicenter of non-stop fun and excitement for the urban professional as MV Soul Concepts hosts the 2nd annual Martha’s Vineyard Summer Madness Music Conference and Festival August 8-10, 2014 at Oak Bluffs’ Dreamland. This year’s theme, “Ladies First,” pays homage to the dynamic women of Black music and entertainment who embody power, philanthropy and positivity as essential qualities to be a real Boss Lady in today’s male-dominated industries.

The weekend-long music celebration kicks off Friday night with a classic old school party, “Tru School Hip Hop Concert,” featuring a live performance from legendary artist and activist MC Lyte and special guest DJ Monie Love. The talented R&B songstress Amel Larrieux headlines Saturday night’s sultry R&B Showcase, featuring a DJ set by the world renowned DJ Beverly Bond, founder of Black Girls Rock.  Award-winning actress and jazz vocalist Suzzanne Douglas will keep the party going during Sunday morning’s Jazz Brunch.
