An advance Atlanta screening of Universal Pictures’ highly anticipated film, LUCY, was hosted Wednesday night by Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter and entrepreneur Kandi Burruss.

It was a packed house with Burruss’ celebrity friends and special guests including Mama Joyce, her daughter Riley and her aunts Bertha and Nora. Also in attendance were Love and Hip Hop Atlanta’s Rasheeda & Kirk Frost, D. Woods, Fashion Queens’ Derek J, Atlanta Exes’ Monyetta Shaw and Tameka Foster Raymond and book author and entrepreneur Toya Wright.

The Atlanta Dream’s Angel McCoughtry, DJ AONE and BET’s Sunday Best Season 2 winner Y’anna Crawley were also in the building.
LUCY is about a woman, who is accidentally caught in a dark deal and turns the tables on her captors, while transforming into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic. The film stars Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman and opens in theaters Friday, July 25.
