Former America’s Next Top Model star Yaya DaCosta gears-up for the starring role in the tentatively titled Lifetime “Whitney Houston” biopic.
Above is our first look at how DaCosta is channeling the late singer – she strikes a pose similar to the cover of Houston’s 1987 Whitney album.
DaCosta told Entertainment Weekly that her modeling background came in handy during the shoot. “I just looked at the picture and did the pose!” she said.
The movie, directed by Houston’s Waiting to Exhale costar Angela Bassett, has just started filming.
