Good news for comedian Tracy Morgan!

The award-winning actor has been upgraded from critical condition to “fair” following a horrific automobile accident that took place on June 7.  His rep, Louis Kay, stated on late Monday (June 16) that his conditions were improving and doctors remain hopeful.

“Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement,” the statement reads. “His personality is certainly starting to come back as well.”

Morgan and five others were traveling from a gig in New Jersey when truck driver Kevin Roper struck their limo from behind, causing the limo to spin out of control and overturn.  Morgan was seriously injured and suffered a broken nose, femur, ribs and leg. Several others in the limo were seriously injured and comedian Jimmy McNair was killed.

As previously reported, Roper of Jonesboro, GA, has been charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto, although he has pleaded not guilty. If convicted on charges, he could face up to 15 years in prison.
