ATL Live on the Park continued its reign as the best live music series in the city of Atlanta last night with a fabulous June edition. The show included performances by new artist Dane’sha Nicole, 90’s R&B diva Meelah alongside Musiq Soulchild, and rising star George Tandy Jr. Revolt TV’s Kenny Burns returned to host this month’s edition with DJ Mars on the 1s-and-2s, the house band, Quinn and Jukebox and this month’s sponsors: Gentleman Jack, the W Hotel, Aaron’s, Belvedere Vodka and MAJIC 107.5/97.5. Dane’sha Nicole took the stage first to warm the crowd up. She sang a beautiful rendition of “Natural Woman” by Aretha Franklin followed by a smooth version of “Tyrone” by Erykah Badu.
George Tandy Jr. along with his piano keys and mesmerizing voice wrapped up the show for the evening. The singer introduced himself by simply saying, “Hello, I’m George Tandy, and I like to write music and stuff”. He then performed three singles off his new project, “The Foundation”, including the popular ballad “March”. Throughout his performance, Tandy explained to the audience how thankful he was to be following his dream by saying, “It’s such an amazing experience to be able to do what you love.”
Marlo Hampton of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Swinn Cash (Atlanta Dream), Hip Hop Pioneer – Chubb Rock were also present.
