ASPiRE network announced Wednesday (June 4) that it will celebrate Black Music Month throughout the month of June with the new original ASPiRE Jam Session, featuring a variety of acoustic musical vignettes performed exclusively for the network.
The vignettes will feature artists including Grammy-nominated R&B artist Joe, singing his hit, “I Wanna Know;” soul powerhouse Avery*Sunshine, singing “Call My Name,” along with next generation artists Clinton Babers II, singing “Made To Love You,” and rapper Mr. Sho’Nuff performing “Choices.”
“We are proud to showcase these dynamic artists, Joe, Avery*Sunshine, Clinton Babers II and Mr. Sho’Nuff during our Black Music Month celebration on ASPiRE,” said Tina Thompson director, programming, ASPiRE. “These exclusive, intimate acoustic performances will highlight each performer’s unique approach to music, and shine a light on the rich diversity of Black music within African-American culture.”
