It was all about the rhythm and the rhyme last night for Lexus Verses and Flow. The hit TV One series made a pit stop in Atlanta and featured the hot vocals of Grammy-nominated performer Ledisi along with poet extraordnaire Theresa the Songbird.
The exclusive event was held at the Foundry at Puritan Mill and brought out a few famous faces including DJ Fadelph, R&B Diva LaTavia Roberson, Alex Dilworth of Bravo’s The New Atlanta, recording artist Dondria, former Big Rich Atlanta stars Sabrina and Kadijah Rowe, poets Sphinxx and Jon Goode. The evening was hosted by Atlanta’s Magic 107.5 radio personality and my friend, Rene Miller.
Lexus Verses & Flow was also an opportunity for Ledisi to plug her forthcoming album The Truth, which hits stores Tuesday, March 11. Her small but powerful acoustic set included fan favorites, “Pieces of Me,” “Alright,” and “Bravo” as well as two new songs, “I Blame You” and “Alone.”
