Academy award-winning actress Halle Berry is reportedly launching her very own production company titled 606 Films.
According to Indie Wire, Berry is partnering with Elain Goldsmith-Thomas for the new company that will be housed under CBS. The name comes from the anti-paparazzi bill that Berry fought for in California that was signed into law last year.
606 Film will be led by television veteran, Katheryn Tys-Adair and will look to produce “socially conscious” work. It will also produce Berry’s new science fiction thriller Extant, which is set to air on CBS.
The Humor Mill is reporting that About Last Night star Kevin Hart is launching a new 24-hour digital comedy network. The untitled project will cater to an urban audience and will feature sketch comedy, stand up and behind-the-scenes movie footage.
The new endeavor is also said to be very similar to Russell Simmons’ All Def Digital and Marlon Wayans’ new online site, WhattheFunny.com.
RC will keep you posted as both projects continue to develop.
