15 Reasons to Watch the 2014 Oscars!

Hollywood’s biggest night is just hours away and the anticipation is already building. That’s right, The Academy Awards air live tomorrow night at 8 p.m. EST on ABC and a good number of African-American nominees are up for major awards including Twelve Years a Slave  stars Lupita Nyong’o for Best Supporting Actress, Chiwetel Ejiofor for Best Actor and Steve McQueen for Best Director. Captain Phillip’s  star Barkhad Abdi is up for Best Supporting Actor and Hip-hop super producer Pharrell Williams is up for Best Original song.

In addition to the nominees there are 10  African-American actors who have been tapped to present at this year’s ceremony including some rising superstars, past winners and legendary faces including Sidney Poitier.
