Will Packer teams up with Malcolm D. Lee for ‘Girls Trip’

Filmmakers Will Packer and Malcolm D. Lee are joining forces a new flick titled Girls Trip. The announcement was made by Universal Pictures on Tuesday and comes on the heels of hit films from both producers.

Unfortunately, details about the film like plot and cast are limited. However,  we do know that the movie will start filming over the summer and is being produced under Packer’s new formed Will Packer Productions. This is the three-year look deal he has with Universal Pictures that we reported about in October. This movie agreement coincides with the two-year agreement Packer already has with Universal TV.

Lee most recently enjoyed box office success with The Best Man Holiday  in November, while Packer made waves with the Kevin Hart led Ride Along in January and the recent Valentine’s Day comedy, About Last Night. Packer is also looking to release the much anticipated sequel Think Like a Man Too and the romantic thriller No Good Deed  later on this year.

RC will keep you in the loop as this project continues to develop.
