Canadian Hip-Hop star Drake is not a happy camper. The Grammy-winning artist says he is ‘disgusted and done’ with magazine interviews after Rolling Stone put deceased actor Phillip Seymore Hoffman on their cover instead of his. Drizzy is also blasting the music magazine for printing some off-the-record comments he said he never made for the interview about fellow rapper, Kanye West.
According to THR, Drake tweeted his version of the story while calling the press “evil.”
“I never commented on Yeezus for my interview portion of Rolling Stone,” Drake wrote in a series of tweets . “They also took my cover from me last minute and ran the issue. I’m disgusted with that. RIP to Phillip Seymour Hoffman. All respect due. But the press is evil. I’m done doing interviews for magazines. I just want to give my music to the people. That’s the only way my message gets across accurately.”
Drake is also fuming over the alleged comment the magazine printed because it appears that he is dissing West’s lyrics from last year’s Yeezus album. “There were some real questionable bars on there,” he is quoted in the mag. “Like that ‘Swaghili’ line? Come on, man. Even Fabolous wouldn’t say some shit like that. It’s like Hov, can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references.”
As it stands, Rolling Stone is insisting that they warned Drake of the last minute cover switch and that they’re ‘standing by their reporting.’
