He’s BACK!

Famed runway coach J. Alexander aka Miss J is returning to America’s Next Top Model  later on this year for Cycle 21. Show creator, Tyra Banks announced the big news last night via Instagram with the following caption:

His name says it all. I’ve Missed ‘Miss Jay’ & am elated He’s back! Top Model fans…rejoice! #ANTM21 airing later this year! – TyTy.

If you recall, Banks let Miss J go in April 2012 along with two other male celebrity judges Jay Manuel aka Mr. Jay and noted fashion photographer, Nigel Barker. He is now serving as the host of Naomi Campbell’s ‘Top Model’ esque show, The Face.

Ken Mok, executive producer of the show, praised all three judges at the time of their departure and indicated that ANTM  would continue working with them on some level.

“Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the America’s Next Top Model brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today. They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the Top Model family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects,”  said Mok.

Since Miss J’s departure, ANTM  has changed the game a bit, allowing male models to compete against the female models for the coveted titled. No word yet on whether Miss J’s sidekick Mr. Jay (Manuel) will be returning to the show.

RC is definitely looking forward to seeing Miss J do what he does best and that is werk  the runway!
