Get a bird’s-eye view into the lives of some of music’s most prolific artists to date in the new Red Bull Music Academy documentary titled, What Difference Does it Make.
The film explores the challenges many musicians and songwriters face for the sake of their art and includes some thought provoking interviews and insightful commentary from industry vets Erykah Badu, Q-Tip, Nile Rodgers, Rakim and others.
According to the website, The Red Bull Music Academy is a world-travelling series of music workshops and festivals that provides a platform for those who make a difference in today’s musical landscape. Each year, two groups of 30 selected participants – producers, vocalists, DJs, instrumentalists and all-round musical mavericks from around the world – come together in a new city for two weeks’ worth of recording sessions, lectures by musical luminaries, collaborations and performances in the city’s best clubs and music halls.
The film marks the 15th Anniversary of The Red Bull Music Academy, which travels this year to Tokyo, Japan October 12-November 14. Check out the film trailer below:
