Indie Wire is reporting that Think Like A Man Too  actor Romany Malco will star in Kevin Hart’s new semi-autobiographical comedy series that was ordered by ABC.

Last month, we reported that Hart was teaming up with the network for the new show that follows a divorced couple as they try to reconcile their relationship as friends for the sake of their children despite their differences.

As previously reported, Hart will also serve as producer along with Dave Becky, Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan.

Sanaa Lathan

BET is reporting that Best Man Holiday  actress Sanaa Lathan has signed on to star in a new indie science fiction drama titled Ad Inexplorata.  The film is reportedly being produced by the same team that worked on Beasts of the Southern Wild.  Look for Lathan to star in the psychotic thriller, Repentance  at the end of the month featuring Forest Whitaker, Anthony Mackie, Mike Epps and Nicole Ari Parker.

Vivica A. Fox

Vivica A. Fox has signed on to star opposite Ian Ziering and Tara Reid in Sharknado 2: The Second One.  According to BET, Fox will play Ziering’s old high school buddy named Skye. Also on board are Kelly Osborne, Judah Friedlander and Andy Dick. Sharknado 2: The Second One  is the follow up to Sharknado, the 2013 Syfy movie about a waterspout that lifts sharks out of the ocean and deposits them in L.A.

Octavia Spencer is starring in the medical drama, The Red Band Society. According to Indie Wire, she will play Nurse Jackson, play a tough and intuitive nurse who’s very good at her job but is also sympathetic to the children on her ward. The series is based on the Catalan television show, Pulseras Rojas which means “The Red Band Society” in English. Steven Spielberg has been tapped to executive produce the show.

Meagan Good is reportedly returning to NBC for a new drama pilot titled Babylon Fields.  According to THR, the series centers on a place called Babylon, NY where regenerated bodies are healing faster and growing stronger, prompting discussion that this might be the next step in human evolution. Good is reportedly playing Dr. Janine Beltran, who is described as a doctor with edge.
