I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is The Arsenio Hall  and BET’s break out series Being Mary Jane  has been renewed for another season. Unfortunately, VH1’s Single Ladies  has been canceled.

Here’s the latest TV Buzz!

Indie Wire is reporting that The Arsenio Hall Show  will indeed return for another season. The news was confirmed by Tribune Broadcasting, which serves as a partner in production of the syndicated, late night show.

“Arsenio is an incredibly talented host who has connected with his viewers; we look forward to watching the show grow and develop in year two,” said Sean Compton, President Strategic Programming and Acquisitions, Tribune Company.

Being Mary JaneBET’s Being Mary Jane  is also coming back after scoring a total of 5.8 million viewers for its 2-hour season finale on Tuesday night. According to IW, the series , which stars Gabrielle Union, was Tuesday’s top cable TV original with 2.6 million viewers the first hour and 3.2 million for the second hour. This was huge leap considering the original movie pilot drew 4 million views.

Queen Latifah’s VH1 series, Single Ladies  will not be returning for a fourth season. According to THR, VH1 opted not to renew the series which stars Charity Shea, Denise Vasi, LisaRaye McCoy and newly added LeToya Luckett. The show followed the lives of three best friends living in Atlanta who had three different philosophies on love, sex and relationships.

“We’ve been proud to deliver three seasons of the drama, romance and style that engaged viewers in each episode of Single Ladies,” VH1 said in a statement. “Although we’ve decided not to move forward with another season, we hope to work again with the talented cast, creatives and producers as well as our partners at Flavor Unit Entertainment in the near future. We also thank the show’s fans for their support since the premiere in 2011.”
