Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Kandi Burruss is expanding her multi-million dollar empire with a new stage production titled, A Mother’s Love.  The RHOA is teaming up with her fiancé and producer Todd Tucker for a musical journey that is loosely based on Kandi’s rise to stardom with the R&B group Xscape.

According to Kandi, the musical also deals with her mother’s interference in her ongoing love life.  “Though things are exaggerated, you will see moments of my life in the musical. Writing ‘A Mother’s Love’ has been therapy for me in many ways. I’ve had to focus and not only co-write the script which is loosely about my life but have also written twenty (20) songs for the play in a very short amount of time which has allowed me to unload a lot of emotions inside of me.”

A Mother’s Love  features an all-star cast including platinum-selling Eddie Levert of the O’Jays, Chandra Currelley of Tyler Perry’s stage productions, the powerhouse vocalist Shirley Murdock, Grammy nominated Q Parker of 112, D. Woods formerly of Danity Kane, and RHOA cast mate Porsha Stewart makes, her acting debut.  Also a part of the play is popular social media personality Funky Dineva and V103’s L-Breezy.

A Mother’s Love  opens at the Rialto Center for the Arts (80 Forsyth St. NW, Atlanta, GA  30303) on Friday, November 22, 2013 and closes out on Sunday, November 24, 2013 for three nights with five shows including two matinees on November 23, 2013 and November 24, 2013.
