‘R&B Divas: Atlanta’ confirm exits!

Production for TV One’s reality series R&B Divas: Atlanta begins this month, but three cast members are leaving.

Ironically, last November there was speculation Faith & Nicci were being replaced; well….

Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert and LaTocha Scott, a TV One spokeswoman confirmed, are not returning.

The four others: Syleena Johnson, Angie Stone, Monifah Carter and Keke Wyatt are coming back for sure.

The network did not explain why the three are leaving or whether there will be replacements forthcoming.

The show is one of the network’s highest performing programs.  A spin-off in Los Angeles was renewed as well for a second season.

Evans and Gilbert were original cast members as well as executive producers; a role in which sources say the ladies were forced out of.  Scott, formerly of Xscape, lasted just the second season.

Evans’ departure probably isn’t a surprise; she didn’t even show up for the reunion show and was clearly sick of the drama some of the other cast members were generating.

This show was ‘supposed’ to promote sisterhood between R&B singers; seemingly it did the opposite.  Hopefully in season three viewers will see that positivity instead of the bickering.
