Original “Dreamgirl” Sheryl Lee Ralph hosted her annual HIV-AIDS fundraiser, “DIVAS Simply Singing!” on Saturday night in L.A.’s Club Nokia Live. The event was attended by a bevy of musical vocalists, personalities and actors including Ralph’s Instant Mom family—Tia Mowery-Hardict, Michael Boatman, Sydney Park, Tylen Williams and Damarr Calhoun.
This year’s stellar line up of performers included Faith Evans, Kelly Price, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Martha Wash, VaShawn Mitchell, Amber Riley, Karyn White, Jenifer Lewis, Carolyn Malachi and more.
Luke James, Kenny Lattimore, and B. Slade the gospel artist formerly known as Tonex were also on hand to lend their support. Also spotted were Carol’s Daughter Founder, Lisa Price, Luenell and drag superstar, Flame.
As previously reported, DIVAS is produced in conjunction with Ralph’s DIVA Foundation and is the longest consecutive running musical AIDS benefit concert in the country. Each year, the event raises money and awareness about HIV/AIDS while assisting AIDS organizations in Los Angeles and around the world.
