Fans of R&B Divas L.A. are in for a treat this week as TV One will air a special extended version of the show’s Divalogues production on Saturday, October 5 at 10 p.m. EST.
Remember, these were the touching, heart-wrenching monologues from Lil Mo, Chante Moore, Claudette Ortiz and Michel’le. The ladies tackled some serious issues in their performances including rape, self-worth and self-esteem, pregnancy and suicide. Apparently the very personal subject matters struck a chord with viewers which led to the network creating the special.
“The compelling personal stories of the cast of R&B Divas LA helped the series quickly gain a dedicated following,” remarked D’Angela Proctor, SVP Programming and Production, TV One. “Fans of the show have been clamoring for more and TV One is more than happy to deliver with the Divalogues special.”
The one-hour program promises to give viewers some rare footage of each performance that wasn’t shown during the season finale including interviews from the cast along with commentary of their experiences.
