Deadline is reporting that Ride Along  star Kevin Hart is partnering with ABC for an untitled divorced-couple comedy.

The series follows a divorced couple as they try to reconcile their relationship as friends for the sake of their children despite their differences. Reportedly the series is based on Hart’s stand-up routine.

Currently, there are no plans for Hart to star in the show but he will have a recurring role. The show is also being produced 20th Century Fox TV along with Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan, writers of Community.

Hart is definitely that dude  in Hollywood right now. In addition to the new series, he has several other projects coming up next year including About Last Night,  Finally Famous  and The Wedding Ringer  along with Jenifer Lewis.

Hart is also returning to primetime for BET’s fakest reality show on television, Real Husbands of Hollywood.

RC will keep you posted as more information continues to develop.
