Atlanta’s BronzeLens Film Festival (BLFF) is back with five days of interactive programming designed to empower, entertain and educate attendees. This year’s theme, Atlanta: Film Capitol of the South  features an array of expert panelists, workshops, domestic and international film screenings Nov. 6-10, 2013.

Here is a brief rundown of this year’s activities:

FEATURE FILMS

The Atlanta premiere of Pratibha Parmar’s Alice Walker: Beauty in Truth  including a director’s talk back with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alice Walker. Finding the Funk  by Nelson George followed by a talk back with the director, the highly anticipated HBO film Whoopi Goldberg presents Moms Mabley  and the Atlanta premiere of Steve Harvey Live – The Grand Finale.  BronzeLens Film Festival activities will close out with the Atlanta premiere of The Best Man Holiday .

BRONZELENS WOMEN SUPERSTARS LUNCHEON

This year’s BronzeLens Women Superstars Luncheon honors actresses Anna Maria Horsford, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Mahira Kakkar, producers Issa Rae, Tonya Lewis Lee and many more. The BronzeLens Women Superstars Luncheon has become a favorite signature event for industry insiders, corporations and the local community highlighting the accomplishments of women of color in the film and television industry.

BLFF EXCLUSIVE

There will be an encore presentation of legendary casting director and producer Reuben Cannon’s “The Producers Roundtable.”  This groundbreaking session brings together high-level entertainment executives to share their strategies for producing successful film and television projects. Participating producers include Jeff Clanagan, David E. Talbert and Paul Hall.
