Remember in July when we reported that Scandal costume designer Lyn Paola was working on a fashion line inspired by Kerry Washington’s character Olivia Pope? Well, now it appears that a major retail giant is teaming up with Paola to release the line just in time for next week’s Season three-premiere on October 3rd.
According to THR, Saks Fifth Avenue is celebrating “All Things Oliva” with a multiplatform fashion collaboration that will take place in stores, online and onscreen. Reportedly, Washington and Paola will curate a scandalous window installation at the Sak’s flagship store in New York City that will include looks by Giorgio Armani, Donna Karen, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors. The kick-off celebration takes place on October 2 and is sponsored by Mercedes.
Here is what Paola said in a statement:
“I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with the Saks team in bringing the Scandal characters to life in their windows. Fashion is such an integral part of the show and for Kerry and I to have had the opportunity to play a part in the creation of the iconic Saks windows is a dream come true, and a truly wonderful creative experience on every level. Saks and Scandal … brilliant!”
