For some reason this new cover of Glamour featuring Rihanna is giving me a “Flashdance” vibe and I can’t help but hum a few bars of the movie’s theme song, “What a Feeling” by Irene Cara.
Her 80’s inspired appearance—a Jheri Curl, dramatic smokey eye, gold hoop earrings and black off the shoulder top—is just screaming “Jennifer Beals.” Now all she needs is a LaToya Jackson headband to immortalize the look.
According to The Singer’s Room, Rihanna’s November issue coincides with the American debut of her new fashion competition show, Style to Rock. Remember, this is the reality show we talked about in August where twelve designers will get compete for a $100,000 cash prize, a fashion feature in Glamour magazine and the chance to become a member of RiRi’s glam squad.
Inside the mag, the Grammy-winning singer dishes about “getting her fearlessness back and nailing her style.” Speaking of style, check out Rihanna’s behind-the-scenes photos for her upcoming video to this summer’s strip club anthem, “Pour It Up.”
