Earlier this month, we reported that fashion icons Bethann Hardison, Iman and Naomi Campbell were all on Good Morning America discussing their views on the lack of diverse models in the fashion industry, especially on European runways and during Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.
Well apparently Campbell’s commentating skills and ability to connect with audiences was so on point that the British beauty is now being considered for her very own talk show.
According to U.K. Daily Mail, a “major US Network” has offered Campbell a talk show based on her recent television appearances and on her performance as executive producer and mentor of her Oxygen modeling reality competition series, The Face. Reportedly, TV execs have really been impressed with Campbell and think it’s time to bring her finesse to a larger audience.
However, Campbell is strictly focused on the second season of The Face and is now in talks to bring it to the U.K. and Australia. But don’t count her out just yet says another source. A talk show gig may very well be on the horizon.
“She’s too busy with The Face at the moment, but after The Face Australia it is something she is considering giving a go. Naomi is a supermodel first and foremost, but she’s becoming much more comfortable on TV now and really finding her voice. She’s a perfectionist and if she does give TV a go she’d give Oprah a run for her money!”
What are your thoughts about Naomi Campbell hosting a talk show? Would you watch?
