The life and times of the late Whitney Houston may be coming to the big screen after all.

According to Showbiz 411, the Whitney Houston estate is putting together a documentary about her life. Reportedly, executor Pat Houston, Whitney’s assistant and sister-in-law, is said to be the executive producer.

Apparently, the film will offer rare behind-the-scenes home footage of Houston’s life and will be more a tribute film, than a “rise and fall” sort of story that you would see on Lifetime TV.

No further details are available at this time about the project and definitely no stars attached to it.

There have been many rumors about a possible film and a gang of actresses and singers who have expressed their interest in playing Houston including Rihanna, Meagan Good and Vivica A. Fox.

Whitney’s mother and gospel great Cissy Houston released a tell-all-book, Remembering Whitney, earlier this year about her daughter’s life. In 2012, Houston said she was writing the book to “dispel all of this lies and give a real and definitive story.”

RC will keep you posted as more of this story continues to develop.
