Indie Wire is reporting that Roger Bobb and his production company BobbCat Films are prepping a new television series for husband and wife team David and Tamela Mann.

According to an interview Bobb conducted with Humor Mill Magazine, the new series is being called Mann & Wife and is being described as “a Black Brady Bunch.” The show would reunite the entertainment duo that were last seen together on Tyler Perry’s now cancelled TBS show, Meet The Browns.

Bobb has been very busy these last few months executive producing TV One’s The Rickey Smiley Show  as well as his most recent film for UP network entitled In the Meantime. The romantic comedy debuted last month and starred the Manns alongside Kali Hawk, Darren Dewitt Henson, Terri J. Vaughn and Musiq Soul Child.

Bobb also says he is working on a new musical for the UP network that is based on an ABFF film winner from 2012. While he didn’t give any more information than that, he did indicate that he may call upon Musiq Soul Child again to star in this project alongside Michelle Williams.

RC will keep you posted on these projects as they continue to develop.
