Chris Brown covers ‘JET’ and opens up about his career, Rihanna and Trayvon Martin

Chris Brown is the latest celebrity to grace JET  magazine. The 24-year-old performer has had a tumultuous 12-months and opens up about all the drama in the October 14 issue.

Between the negative news, the legal issues, the highly publicized off-again, on-again  relationships with Rihanna and  Karrueche Tran and the recent health scares, Brown has reached a turning point in his career. The “Fine China” singer often wonders what his life would be like without the fame and fortune.

“I try to grasp the concept of being a normal guy sometimes. But when you start singing professionally at 14, 15…I look back at it and I’m only 24, but I’m starting to feel old. I’m not trying to be younger or older. I’m just trying to be my age and move with the time.”

Brown also talks about relating to Trayvon Martin.  “I identify with Trayvon 100 percent as far as living in 2013 and still dealing with blatant racism,” he explained. “This generation is so used to racism that it’s normal. We don’t care. We aren’t on drugs or catching AIDS, but they still look sat us as n—-s.”

JET  featuring Chris Brown hits newsstands on Monday, September 23.
