Rapper-turned-actor Common is reportedly in talks to star as a hitman in the Warner Bros. action thriller Run All Night. According to Indie Wire, the Chicago native will play a “cool, crafty and very determined killer” who is hired by Ed Harris to kill his former employee and aging hitman, Liam Neeson. Neeson apparently is going up against Harris in order to protect his family and estranged son played by Joel Kinnaman. The film is being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and executive produced by John Middleton.

British-born actor Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje is joining the cast of the new Annie.  Reportedly, he will play Nash, a tough but loveable bodyguard and driver for Benjamin Stacks, the “Daddy Warbucks” character played by Jamie Foxx. As previously reported, Annie  will star Oscar-nominated actress Quvenzhané Wallis as the loveable orphan alongside Bobby Cannavale, Rose Byrne and Cameron Diaz as Miss Hannigan.  Will Smith’s company, Overbrook Entertainment is producing the film along with a soundtrack by Jay Z. Annie  will debut on December 18, 2014.

Indie Wire is reporting that Butler  actor David Oyelowo will lend his voice to the new CGI animated series, Star Wars: Rebels.  The celebrated actor joins Freddie Prinze Jr. Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray and Steven Jay Blum as voices for the characters. It was rumored that the star along with Michael B. Jordan were being considered for roles in the Star Wars  franchise reboot. However, that is not the case. Next up for Oyelowo is playing Clifton Henderson in the Nina Simone biopic starring Zoe Saldana as well as Martin Luther King, Jr. in the Ava DuVernay directed Selma.

RC will keep you posted on these projects as they continue to develop.
