Grammy-winning performer Chris Brown suffered a seizure early Friday morning. Reportedly, Brown was recording at the Record Plant in Los Angeles, CA when he experienced what is now being called a nonepileptic seizure.

According to a statement released last night: “”Chris suffered a nonepileptic seizure (NES). … His doctor tended to him this afternoon and attributes the NES to intense fatigue and extreme emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the nonstop negativity.”

Reportedly, Brown was not taken to the hospital and refused treatment once the paramedics arrived to the studios. TMZ is also reporting that an unnamed source claims that Brown suffered from seizures as a child. However, no one from Brown’s camp has confirmed or denied the allegations.

The incident comes on the heels of the singer announcing this week that he was done with being famous and wants to retire from the music industry after his upcoming album, X.  Brown is among a number of other celebrities who have suffered from seizures over the past two years including Lil Wayne and Rick Ross.
