Our favorite American Idol  Fantasia Barrino is Broadway bound once again.

According to MSN.com, the Lose to Win  singer is teaming up with jazz great Wynton Marsalis for After Midnight,  a musical revue celebrating Duke Ellington’s years at the famous Cotton Club nightclub in Harlem, NY.

Reportedly, the show appeared on Broadway last year as Cotton Club Parade  and was directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle with musical direction from Marsalis.

Barrino will be the first guest star in the show that begins on October 18, with the official opening night set for November 3. Barrino was last seen in The Color Purple  and her current CD, Side Effects of You  is in stores now!

Check out a clip of Fantasia singing the jazz tune Summertime  during Andre Bocelli’s  recent appearance at the famed L.A. Hollywood Bowl.
