The Mrs. Carter Show has been thrilling audiences across the globe for the past few months. Between the high energy dance moves, the numerous costume changes and of course, the megawatt talent that is Beyoncé, the tour is definitely this summer’s hottest ticket.
However, all of that didn’t matter as much last night to Queen Bey as her concert ended on a somber note. Reportedly, she closed her sold out Nashville engagement with a moment of silence honoring the life of slain teenager Trayvon Martin. The dramatic exit was in response to last night’s shocking verdict, where George Zimmerman was found not guilty of killing Martin by a Florida jury.
The verdict, which came out around 10 p.m., moved the “Single Ladies” diva to bow out with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and her signature ballad, “Halo.”

Other celebrities who reacted to the devastating news included Gabrielle Union, Rihanna, John Legend, Whoopi Goldberg and former Idol judge Nicki Minaj who tweeted:
“And our taxes paid for that trial. We just paid to see a murderer walk free after killing an innocent unarmed little boy. #GodBlessAmerica”
What are your thoughts about the verdict? We would love to hear from you.
