Think of “The Office” in a police station; that’s what FOX’s new comedy series BROOKLYN 99  could be likened to. Chicago native and two time Emmy Award winner Andre Braugher (“Men of a Certain Age”) is Captain Ray Holt; alongside action hero Terry Crews (“Everybody Hates Chris”) in this Dan Goor and Michael Schur (“Parks and Recreation”) comedy series.

According to the show’s press release, BROOKLYN 99  stars Andy Samberg as Detective Jake Peralta. He’s the good enough copy that never had to work too hard or follow the rules. Perhaps because he has the best arrest record among his colleagues, he’s been enabled – if not indulged – throughout his entire career. That is, until the precinct gets a new commanding officer, Captain Ray Holt, played by Braugher, who reminds the hotshot cop to respect the badge.
