RC was in the house yesterday for an Atlanta press conference promoting Bounce TV’s 1st original non-scripted series, Forever Jones.

As previously reported the reality-series delves into the daily lives and challenges of the close-knit, faith-based family and gospel singing group, foreverJONES. The hour-long program, which is presented by Walmart, was taped entirely in their hometown of Shreveport, LA and will air on Bounce TV for six weeks. foreverJONES first rose to fame after the release of their smash single, “He Wants it All.”  They’re are also the recipients of a 2012 Stellar Award and Dove and Grammy Award-nominees.

Four of the seven family members;  Kim Jones, D’Jeniele Jones-Hooten, Dominique Jones and Dewitt Jones IV, were present for the intimate Q&A session that was held at the Westin Hotel in downtown Atlanta. When asked what makes their reality series stand out from all the other “faith-based” series like BET’s The Sheards  and TLC’s The Sisterhood, the family unanimously answered it’s all about their unique family unit:

“We’ve been doing what we’ve been doing for a long time but were kind of new to everyone else in the industry. So that’s what makes the show different,” says family matriarch, Kim Jones. “The shows and names you mentioned like Karen Clark-Sheard have been around for a long time. foreverJONES, however, is sort of new to the game but you have to watch and see from where we started to where we are now at this juncture in our journey.”

Dominique Jones, the second oldest of the five siblings agrees, “It’s really based on what makes our family work. There are parts in the show that are about the music industry but then there are parts that are just about our family, how we do it and how the Lord has helped us make family work. We will also address conflict resolution in the show.”

In addition to introducing the family to a larger audience, the series will also be used to promote the new video for the single, Hallelujah, which is scheduled to debut sometime this summer.  Check out the latest trailer below introducing the family and the show’s debut:
