Jay-Z wants to “give his album to the world at one time and then let them share it.”  The hip-hop superstar said this in a 3-minute commercial for Samsung Galaxy last night during Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Apparently the rap mogul has teamed up with the phone carrier to provide 1 million lucky users with the opportunity to hear his new album entitled Magna Carta Holy Grail on July 4.  Samsung Galaxy users will have access to the album through an app that will be available for purchase in the coming weeks.

However, don’t fret if you are not among the millions who will be trying to download the CD. It will be available for the general public on July 7 and is said to feature collabs with Drake, Nas and Justin Timberlake.

Take a look at the Samsung Galaxy commercial below which chronicles HOV’s creative process with album producers Rick Rubin, Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland.
