Emayatzy Corinealdi and Omari Hardwick team up for new PTSD drama, ‘Lu’

Blue Angel Entertainment is bringing the issue of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to the big screen in the new indie drama Lu.  The film stars Nate Parker as Luis “Lu” Larham, a former Marine who sets out years later to finds a woman caught in the crossfire during a firefight in Iraq. The film reunites Ava DuVernay’s Middle of Nowwhere  stars Emayatzy Corinealdi as Martha and Omari Hardwick as Dr. Harden. Rounding out the cast is the beautiful Saye Yabandeh as Mila.

According to the film’s synopsis, Lu  seeks to shed new light on an issue that oftentimes doesn’t get the attention that it deserves. Lu  is a poignant piece that is sure to resonate with the countless veterans and their families whose lives have been directly impacted by PTSD.  The film is based on the true life story of Luigino Lobello.
