Oprah Winfrey continues her new season of “Master Classes’ with tonight’s episode featuring Motown founder and music icon, Berry Gordy. Coming off the heels of the very successful opening of his new Broadway show, Motown: The Musical,  Mr. Gordy gets candid about his rags-to-riches story and his relationship with many of the artists he created.

In this “First Look” clip, the musical genius recalls his first encounter with a young Michael Jackson and his audition for Motown with the Jackson 5. According to Gordy, Michael was already “a master” at that age. Gordy went on to further explain that he was taken by Michael’s hunger for stardom and even noticed how Michael studied his mannerisms as student watches a teacher.
