What do Jamie Foxx, Eva Longoria, James Murphy, Biz Stone and Georgina Chapman have in common?

All five Hollywood heavy weights are taking part in Project Imaginat10n, the newest initiative from Canon U.S.A that allows each celebrity to create and direct a film based on submitted photos and storytelling themes. The “10” elements include: Discovery, Character, Mood, Goal, Backstory, Setting, Obstacle, Relationship, The Unknown and Time.

Oscar-winning actor-singer, Foxx stepped behind the camera last week in Brooklyn as the director of his film. The unknown short stars Menace II Society  and long-time friend Tyrin Turner and Django Unchained  actress Nichole Galicia. Foxx was also joined on set by the project’s mentor, Ron Howard and David West from the Pacers. Also on hand were fans from the Sanitation Department that watched patiently from across the street on the last day of filming.

According to the Project Imaginat10n’s website, filmmakers of all skill levels can now select from the same pool of 91 winning photos to showcase their creativity and storytelling abilities by taking a seat in the director’s chair.  Submissions will begin on June 4, 2013 at imagination.usa.canon.com.  Applicants must be at least 16-years-old and a U.S. citizen in order to enter.
