Recently, TNT and TBS unveiled their upcoming slates of both scripted and unscripted shows that are in development & Academy award-winner Jamie Foxx is producing one of them!
Shadow&Act is reporting it will be titled Dad, Stop Embarrassing Me, with a description that reads:
Every teenager is embarrassed by his/her parents. But what if your dad decided to descend upon your life in every way? Inspired by Jamie Foxx’s relationship with his 18-year-old daughter, this comedy explores the dynamic between a parent and a child and all the embarrassment that comes with it.
Foxx and Jamie King will executive produce, with scripting done by Marsh McCall and Foxx.
This will be the second recently announced TV project in development for the Django Unchained star who’s been busy lately; Foxx will also write, direct and exec produce a currently-untitled 5-episode horror anthology series which the Syfy channel will debut during their annual 31 Days Of Halloween programming marathon this October.
The series, which is being compared to TV classics like Tales From The Crypt and The Twilight Zone, will tell tales of morality with themes like envy and jealousy.
Foxx is also playing Electro the villain in the upcoming sequel to The Amazing Spiderman, and will co-star opposite Quvenzhane Wallis in the Overbrook Entertainment remake of Annie.
Jamie is a busy man!
