“Either I’m stupid or his kind is that good” ~ Charles Ramsey’s remark about alleged kidnapper Ariel Castro.
This morning, GMA‘s George Stephanopoulos talked to the man who helped rescue 3 allegedly kidnapped women. Amanda Berry, 27, who disappeared in April 2003, along with Gina DeJesus, 23, who vanished in 2004, and Michelle Knight, 32, who went missing in 2002, were held captive at the house next door to Ramsey.
Cleveland resident Charles Ramsey thought he was witnessing a domestic dispute when he heard a woman screaming and trying to get out of a house. He was shocked to find that three women were allegedly held hostage near his home for 10 years.
Overnight, Charles Ramsey has become a national hero; he chose not to turn a blind-eye and thankfully helped free the women! Ramsey is a hero because he called the police and helped them save three women from being raped and impregnated in a basement for a decade.
The internet is already doing autotune remixes of his first interview, he is being unfortunately pictorialized/photoshopped and compared to movie characters. Let’s not lose sight of the horrible realities of the crimes that took place next door to Ramsey. Let’s stay focused on the ladies’ freedom, the man himself and his good deed. Now, other family members of the missing have been given hope!
