The Baltimore Ravens may have won the Super Bowl but last night clearly belonged to the leading ladies of song: Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys and Beyoncé!
All three musical divas did outstanding jobs with their respective performances before the sold-out-crowd at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
Jennifer Hudson kicked the evening off with a gospel-inspired version of the classic song, America the Beautiful along with the Sandy Hook Elementary School Chorus. Hudson looked AMAZING in a form fitting black and white ensemble along with her “Michelle Obama” bangs and messy chignon. Everyone wore light blue ribbons in remembrance of the 20 children and 6 six adults who were killed during last December’s shooting massacre in Newtown, Connecticut. Take a look at the emotional performance!

The one and only Beyoncé literally shut the place down with her 13-minute half-time extravaganza featuring her all-girl band, high-energy dancers and surprise performance with her Destiny’s Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Queen Bey opened the show with a video countdown sponsored by Pepsi. From there a legion of screaming fans rushed the field hoping to get up close and personal their idol as she stood in the middle of a massive, smokey stage dressed in a sexy black leather-and-laced leotard, knee-high black stockings and of course, her famous fly-away hair.
She started her set with a slowed down version of “Love on Top” and then sashayed her way into “Crazy In Love.” From there she jumped right into a cranked-up version of “End of Time” and then Dutty wined into a high-tech production of “Baby Boy.”
The highlight of the evening was her mini reunion with Kelly and Michelle for a quick medley of DC hits including “Bootylicious” and “Independent Women.” The ladies then took turns singing Bey’s#1 female empowerment anthem, “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).”
Beyoncé, who sang live during most of the show, ended her set with the crowd favorite “Halo.”
