Keri Hilson is on a serious mission these days. The Pretty Girl Rock  vocalist is the spokeswoman for Gillette’s new “Kiss and Tell” campaign.  Hilson is spreading the word to fellas about the importance of keeping a clean shaven face so that their lip-locking experience this Valentine’s Day is a pleasurable one.

The award-winning songwriter recently spoke to EBONY about the new promotion and dished about the difference between “stubble and scruff” and why a good kisser is a major turn on. Check out a few excerpts from the interview…

Clean shaven face-vs-stubble…

I prefer cleanly shaven, but that’s not to say that I don’t like facial hair. Scruff is fine, but there’s a certain length to where scruff is not abrasive to women…Stubble and scruff are two completely different things.

On why kissing can be a deal breaker for the relationship…

I’m all about kissing. A guy that isn’t a good kisser is a serious deal breaker for me. I love to kiss! We can’t even go any further if the kiss doesn’t turn me on.

On why she is participating in the new campaign…

I think it’s important that men understand what women like, because sometimes they have such a weird perception of what it is we really enjoy. And shaving, it may seem like a small deal, but it really is a big deal. It can be an unpleasant experience when we get that irritation from them rubbing their cheeks against ours. We love to cuddle. But we don’t love to cuddle with stubble. I’m hoping that this experiment will go in the direction that I prefer. [Laughs]
