Singing siren Toni Braxton will flex her acting muscles next month in the new made for television film “Twist of Faith.”

RC reported about the project last summer, when Braxton revealed on Twitter that she and her son Diezel would be playing mother and son in the new Lifetime  film.

According to The Singers Room, Twist  stars David Julian Hirsh as Jacob Fisher, a Jewish singer/songwriter from Brooklyn who runs away after witnessing the death of his wife and three children. He ends up in Brent, Alabama where he meets Nina (Braxton), a single mother and gospel choir singer who helps him find life again through music.

Braxton also announced the project during a season of “Braxton Family Values” last year. Twist  is one of three movies that will premiere in February as part of the network’s salute to Black History Month.

“Twist of Faith” debuts Saturday, February 9 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.
