It has been over 10 years since Clifford “T.I.” Harris released his first LP; I’m Serious under Atlantic Records.
Now the “King of the South” is looking for a new label with the hopes of securing a $75 Million record deal.
According to Hip Hop Dx, T.I. has completed his contract with Atlantic and is currently in talks with other labels including Dr. Dre’s Interscope and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
TMZ is reporting that T.I. is offering label’s the following package deal: three albums, 10-20 percent of publishing, touring, merchandise, film and TV rights; corporate endorsements deals; and exclusive signing of all Grand Hustle artists.
So far, Sony has offered him a $50 Million deal and Universal is scheduled to talk with him next week.
T.I. has already left an indelible mark in hip hop music including three Grammy Awards, a highly successful reality-show and promising acting career. He has also published two books and has contributed to a number of community initiatives including his GIVE Like a King campaign, which provides housing to homeless veterans.
Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head is his latest LP which debuted at No. 2 with 179,000 copies sold.
