EBONY.com is reporting that media mogul Oprah Winfrey and singer/songwriter Frank Ocean have been nominated for GLAAD Media Awards. The event was created to recognize and honor media for outstanding images of the gay and lesbian community.

The organization announced its nominees on Wednesday including 120 nominees in English-language categories and 33 nominees in Spanish-language categories. Winfrey is being recognized for her interview with Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka (pictured in feature photo above) along with Ocean for his critically-acclaimed album, Channel Orange. Also up for nominated are EBONY.com and Dr. Marc Lamont Hill for Best Digital Journalism.
Winners will be announced on March 16 in New York and at ceremonies in April and May in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
