Singer-actress Brandy will headline ATL’s Annual Honda Battle of the Bands event on Saturday, January 26 at the Georgia Dome.
The Grammy-winning vocalist will perform alongside eight of the nation’s top Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Marching Bands. This year’s “House Party” theme will be brought to life with an additional performance by ole school R&B dance diva Crystal Waters and an on-the-field fan participation “Soul Train” line-style dance contest.

Participating marching bands include: Edwards Waters College, Triple Threat Marching Band, Albany State Marching Rams, Tennessee State University, Aristocrat of Bands, Alcorn State University’s The Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite, Jackson State University, Sonic Boom of the South, Winston-Salem University’s Red Sea of Sound, Bethune-Cookman University, Marching Wildcats, and North Carolina A&T, Blue and Gold Marching Band.
The Honda Battle of the Bands Showcase serves as a platform to highlight and celebrate the heritage and showmanship of HBCU marching bands. It also stands as the only national music scholarship program dedicated to supporting HBCU music education programs.
