TLC set to release new album after 10-year hiatus

T-Boz and Chilli, better known to music lover as TLC, are heading back to the studio to release a new album. This project will be the group’s first full album since 3-D, which also featured the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.

“We’re going to still sound like TLC, evolving to whatever level we need to be at this time,” said T-Boz, who recently announced news of a reality show last month.

When asked how she felt about the group competing against today’s pop and dance music divas such as Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé, T-Boz felt confident that their classic sound would still resonate with their fans.

We’ve always grown throughout the years and have always had our own sound,” she said. “That’s what works for us and we don’t have to worry about anybody else. When that stops working, maybe we’ll hang up the towel, but that still works. We have to get into the studio and start feeling how we feel. You have to find yourself first then you find the path and then you have an album before you know it.”
