The Urban Daily is reporting that hip hop megastar Lil Wayne is calling it quits after the fifth installment of The Carter. The award-winning rapper, who recently suffered a series of seizure like symptoms, broke the news during an interview with MTV.com’s Sway Calloway.

“Man, I’ve been rappin’ since I was 8 years old. I’m 30 now, man. That’s a long time, man.”

Wayne says he plans to release a sequel to I Am Not A Human Being  followed by The Carter V  sometime in the future.  After that he will direct his attention towards his other passions, the TrukFit clothing line and skate boarding, which also includes his  newly opened skate park.

“When I love to do something, I’m fully focused on it and it only. And music sometimes is not that ‘it’.”

RC will keep you posted on this story as it develops.

Do you think this is a publicity stunt or do you think he should retire?
